In a year that no one is likely to ever forget, when most of our prolife events and activities were curtailed or cancelled due to coronavirus restrictions, the 5th Annual Bike for Life on August 15, 2020 drew enthusiastic riders who raised a record amount of money in support of our prolife work.
What was new last year? First, the event was rescheduled from the second week of June to August 15. Second, the usual post-ride luncheon became an outdoor picnic on the grounds of St. Clement of Rome Church in Romeo. Third, we can't say thank you enough to everyone who helped raise a record $5,000!
A special debt of gratitude is extended to event coordinator Charlie "Hustle" Pillivant, whose vision and hard work founded Bike for Life in 2016, and to the indispensable Donna L., whose humble nature prevents us from even giving her last name; to all the cyclists, volunteers, and event sponsors who made Bike for Life '20 so successful; and to Rev. Stephen Rekker and everyone at St. Clement Church for welcoming us, allowing us to meet on the grounds and use the facilities.
The 6th Annual Bike for Life will be held on August 14, 2021. FOR MORE INFORMATION, please call Nancy Ponkowski at 313-580-5881 or email us at NorthMacombRTL@gmail.com.
